A few things about us:

We love horses, hate rap music, and both of us are obsessed with my step-mother’s homemade granola. So much so, Jordan even insisted on having the recipe. Keep in mind; it costs about $40 to make. Why doesn’t he just buy it from the store? That’s Jordan. Oddly, neither one of us can really dance on a floor. To us, ice--- in all its frozen, wet glory (can something really be frozen and wet at the same time?)--- is so much nicer. Even with just one eighth of an inch of steel beneath us, we’ll take it over rubber soles and 100 times more surface area to balance on, any day.  Hmmm? Yes, I often ask what’s wrong with us {grin}?

Neither one of us started skating until after 30 years old (does that date us?), proving you don’t have to be young and limber to love and succeed at a sport.  We are stubborn, passionate, and driven in everything we do. We are quirky and moody, happy and eager. We thrive on creativity and beauty, but are obsessed with technicality.

We fight. We laugh. We kid around. We cry.

Sarcasm is our second language.  Serendipity is our ally.

As dance partners, we live each other’s lives. We lean on each other both physically and sentimentally. We support each other both literally and figuratively. How can we not? We are partners. We are advocates. We are sometimes foes, but always underneath it all, we are friends.

And above all, we are dancers. Welcome to our world.
